As a Whirlpool Corporation Market Manager; I have leadership, sales and consulting responsibilities for the entire sales region for both the contract and retail appliance business segments for our independent channel. Currently, the Los Angeles territory I manage stretches from Santa Barbara down to San Diego and over to the Inland Empire/Palm Springs. On the retail side of the business, I am responsible for the sell in and sell through at 9 locations where I consult with the buyers, owners, sales associates and store management to develop and implement selling strategy while working as a consultant with all of my various business associates. These trade partners are some of the most sophisticated and savvy players in the industry.In addition, the position is accountable for the entire contract business throughout my sales territory in Southern California; while I can extend to any location within the United States to gain business opportunities. With this builder business, I interact with general contractors, developers, architects, investors, designers, owners and ultimately the super's and project managers to earn the appliance sales for their projects. These business leads are cultivated through numerous networking events such as key builder shows, events by the BIA & NKBA, directly at the job site, and McGraw Hill Leads. Overall, the cornerstone responsibility as a sales market manager is to drive revenue growth while earning more dcm-profitability for Whirlpool Corporation. The Los Angeles territory will continue to be one of the leading revenue producers throughout Whirlpool Corporation in the field sales positions during 2016 with sales targets at over $22M.
