It can build up and encourage. It can repel. But it must always engage. That just scratches at the surface of the many meanings Calvin Seerveld had in mind when he wrote “The Freedom and Responsibility of the Artist”. But it’s a line that has stayed with me ever since I first read it as a fine arts graduate.Like art, brands are intentional in nature. They should touch and engage the emotions. Brands need to show their audiences why they matter.I help to reinvigorate brands with rich histories and complexity.That demands strategy as well as creativity. And that’s what sets my work apart.
