Specifically, he studies how households invest and save over long time horizons and how legal and business forces shape those savings behaviors.Mr. Gropper is also a Research Associate with the Employee Benefit Research Institute (EBRI). He conducts research with the Public Retirement Research Lab, a collaboration between EBRI and the National Association of Government Defined Contribution Administrators (NAGDCA).Prior to enrolling at UNC, Mr. Gropper was a Managing Consultant in Berkeley Research Group's Washington, DC office, working primarily in the Economics and Damages practice group. Mr. Gropper has provided litigation support in class-action, patent infringement, and other litigation involving general commercial damages. His work has spanned a variety of industries, including pharmaceuticals, automotive suppliers, and commodities trading. Mr. Gropper has experience in statistical analysis of large datasets using SQL, SAS, R, and Stata.Mr. Gropper graduated summa cum laude from the College of William & Mary in 2014 with a B.B.A. in Finance and a minor in mathematics.
