Designing and building the production environment

Lead Engineer for automation and deployment team, developing for both production and continuous integration pipelines for Netscout’s big data analytics platform software. Helped transform the product offering from a monolithic architecture to a microservice-based solution to facilitate scalability and a more flexible deployment.- Developed installation/deployment tools for Linux hosts using Ansible, Terraform, Docker, and Bash. (including writing custom Ansible Python plugins, filters, and dynamic inventory)- Integrated open source supporting software such as Kafka, Kerberos, Spark, and Zookeeper to service the company’s first party applications- Implemented System Health/Monitoring using the Elasticsearch/Logstash/Kibana stack including deploying the applications as Docker containers, designing Kibana dashboards, setting up alerts with Elastalert, and designing ingest pipelines for incoming Beats data.- Packaged Netscout and third-party applications as Docker images for simplified and scalable deployment of software and supporting applications within customer networks.- Designed and built continuous integration and test automation framework for projects with automated installation/orchestration on bare metal and virtual hosts using Jenkins, Docker and Ansible.- Created automated unit test suite in Python (pytest framework) for deployment software to be executed when opening pull requests to improve the quality of the code in the master branches.
