Network Support Engineer, Main duties include, Managing Network Servers ( Windows 2008/2003 Domain servers, Share points, Exchange servers ) , setting up clients with domain access , Group policy management , User services ( e-mail,VNC, share points) , Remote management of servers, Wireless network management, Install server hardware/software and deploy servers. setup Routers/Switchers including VLANS,Tunnels and secure access VPN’s-Managing Network Servers (Windows 2008/2003 Domain servers, Sharepoint, Exchange)- Setting up clients with domain access and managing them remotely via Vnc and Rdp - Group policy management -Remote management of servers - Wireless network management- Installation of server hardware/software - Setup Routers/Switches including VLANS, Secure access VPN’sJob Description,- Windows Standard and SBS server 2003/2008 administration, Exchange server administration and security maintenance.- Preparation and deployment of Acer PC workstation and serverhardware for computer network and standalone environments.- Software preparation and deployment (Windows Server 2003/2008and SBS)- On site network support and hardware installations including Acer file servers, SFF workstations, Printers, Switches, Routers , Firewalls (Cisco, D-link, Linksys and Juniper Netscreen) and Wireless networking devices.- Trend Antivirus client and server installations.- Virus and Spyware removal and repair on file servers and workstations.- Brighstor ARCserve Backup server installations , Configuration andmaintenance of Windows 2003/2008 and SBS 2003 /2008 servers.- Answering IT help desk enquires either via phone or direct with clients for service/advice.- Familiar with Shadow Protect backup solutions- Vmware Esxi- D-link Networks (Switching and Network Security)
