About Michael Hanke
During a 23 year career in the United States Army; I was fortunate to have had the opportunity to capture leadership and responsibility at multiple levels. Upon retirement as a Senior Non-Commissioned Officer, I found myself challenged in my next objective. I made the conscious decision to turn to education and pursue a Bachelor’s degree. After receiving my degree, I recognized my next objective should be meaningful and responsible. In May of 2017, I was honored to have been appointed as the Director of the Veterans Housing and Recovery Program (VHRP) in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin. In February of 2019, I was promoted to Deputy Executive Director. The VHRP operates under the umbrella of the Wisconsin Department of Veterans Affairs and the Federal VA. I'm responsible for supervising a population of 175 staff associates and Veteran Residents.
