Current► Led project research, cross-team collaboration, proposal, experimentation, and implementation of a modern signaling, monitoring, and reporting solution for Uptime SLOs, which the company adopted for all its products. Also worked closely with Datadog to create a new synthetics metric to enable measuring these new signals. This project enabled teams to accurately and consistently measure uptime across all services and products, easily craft dynamic SLO time series reports in Datadog, quickly troubleshoot production incidents, distinguish system degradation from downtime, fine-tune alerts to notify pertinent service owners only, and migrate services onto Kubernetes.► Used AWS, Kubernetes, k6, and Golang to build a "Load as a Service" self-service tool so that our teams can instantly throw heavy load (>300K virtual users) at their apps and easily interpret and compare the results in Datadog. (Really loved this one!) I built this in less than two months with no prior experience in Kubernetes, AWS EKS, or k6, and little experience with Golang. Multiple teams have adopted and continue to use this tool for performance testing, with an 86% adoption rate after initial trial.► Presented numerous trainings and talks to groups of 60+ engineers and product members.
