Over my 20+ year career, I have developed a consultative approach to problem resolution and an ability to adapt to the business situation/problem presented. My recent experience has been in the corporate world with a slant to the media space, but past consulting engagements have exposed me to a diverse set of industries and company sizes. I understand technology as a disruptor, welcome and encourage innovation, and embrace the technology team’s evolving place in the organization. I've worn many hats: programmer, DBA, business analyst, project manager, and executive. As a result, I have developed the ability to drive/deliver multi-disciplinary projects and navigate increasingly complex business challenges. I've learned that much of my professional value comes from the following: • I’m effective communicating up, down and sideways and have been called a blender for my ability to get people with conflicting styles/goals to work together effectively.• My diverse experience has made me versatile and open to change, and I believe those traits to be keys to success.• Ideas are great, but execution is king. I bring ideas to the table, but I’m also a proven executor.• The sexy solution is not always the best solution. I work to find the right answer to the current problem. No technology biases. No one size fits all.• I am usually the reserved one in the room, but when I talk, people tend to listen.• I believe in Handshake Management. Promise what you can deliver and deliver what you promise.• My view is that a successful team makes a successful leader. Credit is not important. Results are.• I have always felt that vendor relationships should be built to last and should be beneficial to both parties.I’m always interested in making new connections so reach out to discuss business ideas, technology thoughts/challenges, the NFL, or even strategies for raising triplets!
