I am a housing and community development professional. I have managed construction projects, closed on public and private sector development financing, evaluated new development opportunities, responded to public sector RFPs, secured grants, worked across departments in a high capacity nonprofit to align goals for new projects, and worked closely with executive leadership to address high priority asset management challenges. Throughout my career, I have been an advocate for incorporating climate change analysis into project decision making. I conducted a portfolio-wide of review of properties to integrate energy efficiency and electrification into long term capital plans. I worked with a team to propose a groundbreaking passive house and mass timber project in response to a city RFP. Over the past ten years, I have volunteered with communities of people with and without disabilities and worked in the care field. In 2018, I co-founded a 501(c)3 to continue retreats for people with and without disabilities to cultivate meaningful friendships. I manage and lead groups of volunteers and train people in our organizational culture. Through these programs, I hope to recognize and celebrate difference and build trust within the community. The relationships I made in these communities of people with disabilities center my passion for strengthening dependable housing, care, and welfare systems.My research has focused on care systems, climate change, and community ownership.
