Mike chaired and now serves on the "board" of BSA 365, a 50-year-old organization. He develops adult Scout leaders to become effective mentors, & mentors Boy Scouts growing to be competent, confident men who exhibit character & skill. Produced 4 annual plans for city-county job training program, all approved by elected officials for strategy and execution. Developed unique recommendations for city-funded social services using General Revenue-Sharing funds to deliver targeted help from community agencies to residents city-wide.

Established a metropolitan planning body to guide public, private non-profit and foundation funders in mutually supporting community agency social programs. Created the 1st-ever community coordinated child care program, to design programs, evaluate agency operations and increase credentialed talent in child care. Designed and facilitated creation of the 1st community-wide information and referral agency for health, welfare, education, and housing.

Designed, commissioned, managed and reported results of program evaluations in 3 nationally-significant workforce development programs: a telephone-based community career counseling program in RI; a K-12 career development curriculum project in OH; and a residential job training center serving 7 states from an abandoned air base in MT.
