• Support and design for production site in North Andover, MA and Charlotte site for Solectron Technologies.• Involved in design and rollout of new solution to move the company onto a Windows 2000 and Exchange 2000 platform. This solution helped increase availability of infrastructure services, resulting in increased productivity and profit. • Also responsible for all administratve aspects of the production infrastructure. Support for Windows 2000 native production domain. This includes, but not limited to, DNS, DHCP, creating user accounts, roaming profiles, shares, security, writing policies, Exchange 2K, Citrix Metaframe XP, DFS, MRP, ISA 2000, IAS, IIS, performing backups with Veritas Netbackup and UltraBac, and troubleshooting server hardware.

This saved the company an average of $4500 a month and greatly lessened the cost of further growth.o Server Consolidation – Planning and execution of solution to reduce the server footprint for the company datacenter. This involved research to eliminate unneeded services and consolidate resources on larger hardware. Was able to reduce the footprint by 30%; saving money and space for further expansion.

• Duties include rotating from the Help Desk, to desktop admin areas in each of the 4 buildings owned by Solectron.• Develop, maintain, and monitor help desk and EUS processes with management to ensure business continuity. Evaluate and recommend software solutions such as ticket tracking and monitoring to assist help desk personnel in maintaining a healthy environment. Work with management and other infrastructure leads to evaluate issues and resolutions as well as redefine SLA’s as needed.• EUS responsibilities include fixing all hardware problems related with desktop pc’s and laptops, re-imaging machines with a standard NT image, doing manual software installs that could not be pushed down, creating user accounts, keeping track of quota home drive space, creating shares, creating Exchange email accounts, adding pc’s to the domain, and increasing and decreasing home drive and exchange space. Handling escalations that cannot be resolved on the lower levels of the team. Project management of different projects that need to be done to improve the company. Creation of training material to better help train the new staff members. Helped create an inter-team website to better serve our team to pass along information.
