Currently a programmer at Fidelity Express, I have a passion for all things programming, with a leaning towards front-end and web-based technologies. I started programming in high school, pursued a degree in Computer Science in College, and have worked 4 years at Fidelity Express.I have experience making front-end web-based applications utilizing various Javascript frameworks and libraries. The big ones being jQuery and React (not together, of course), and countless smaller libraries, such as formik and material-ui. This also comes with experience in modern build tools for web applications, including NPM, Webpack, Babel, and Typescript. All of this also infers experience with HTML, CSS, JSON, & HTTP terminology.In addition to front-end, I also have experience developing the APIs that feed these applications, utilizing either Java + Servlets (Tomcat), or NodeJS + Express. These servers generally get data via SQL queries connected to a DB2 Database, either via JDBC or ODBC, and serve data in JSON or XML format.My biggest achievement involved a project combining two POS software systems into a single codebase. The original systems were a Tomcat / JSP based website, and a Swing based Java application. The new system was a React web-app capable of being bundled in a standalone Electron application. This ultimately halved the effort to develop for our POS software, and paved the way for modern improvements.
