Michael Huttner advises donors and raises money for progressive causes and socially responsible companies. As a political strategist, attorney, author and entrepreneur, Huttner is the President of Huttner Group, Inc. which focuses on strategy and raising money for political and nonprofit organizations. Huttner also is the Co-Founder of Next Titan Capital an investment bank for socially responsible companies. Before Next Titan, Huttner developed and led both the cannabis and psychedelics investment team at Young America Capital where he worked on private placements and mergers and acquisitions. Huttner’s strength is raising money and M&A for private clients facing complex financial, legal, political and media challenges. From his years of raising money, Huttner has an extensive network of ultra-high net worth individuals, family offices, and progressive philanthropists investing in socially responsible companies and organizations. In January 2020, Huttner convened the first meeting to legalize psychedelics statewide in Colorado which culminated with the passage of the Natural Medicine Health Act in November, 2022.Huttner served as CEO of Fenton, the largest social change agency in the U.S.. Mr. Huttner has helped launch over 40 different political organizations and has led communications ‘war-rooms’ for political and private clients. Mr. Huttner is the Founder of ProgressNow, a network of state-based communications organizations that moves people to action through communications and digital media. Described as the “crown jewel” of progressive investors’ efforts to build messaging power in the states, ProgressNow continues to expand with more than 3.4 million members in 23 states.Previously, Mr. Huttner was a founding partner in the Denver law firm of Foster, Graham and Huttner where he headed the firm’s political, nonprofit and lobbying practice. Prior to his private practice, he worked as Policy Advisor to Governor Roy Romer and clerked at the Clinton White House for the Office of the Counsel to the President.Mr. Huttner also has taught as an adjunct professor at the University of Denver College of Law. He earned his J.D. from the University of California, Hastings Law School and his B.A. from Brown University.
