Florida Motion Picture & Television Association, Inc. is the oldest trade organization in Florida, founded June 25th, 1974. Its mission is to promote motion picture, television, audio recording and digital media production in Florida. Active in the legislative process affecting our industry, FMPTA also strives to educate its membership and the public as to the importance of entertainment to the Florida economy. The Crystal Reel Awards was created to celebrate the outstanding achievement in the named types of productions, created in Florida. We conduct a monthly networking event on the 1st Tuesday of each month, at the Eden Bar at the Enzian Theater in Winter Park, Fl., and a regular lecture/training/meeting on the 3rd Monday of the month at the Winter Park Civic Center on Morse Blvd. We welcome all that are interested in film and television production to come and join us. Oversaw all aspects of the instrumental music program, including directing the Symphonic Band, Community Symphonic Band, Jazz Ensemble, Communiy Jazz Ensemble, taught Music Theory 1-4, Sightsinging and Ear Training 1-4. Oversaw private instrumental instructors and coordinated multiple projects and events with choral and theatre departments.Saw a marked increase in the involvement in all performing ensembles and in the difficulty of repertoire. Also saw increase in scores for all music theory and sightsinging/ear training classes. Totally revamped entire instrumental music library, implementing a new filing and cataloguing system and began a strategy to gain certification as a Grammy Foundation library for rare music. Was invited to perform at Westminster Abbey in London, England.Inducted into 2008 Who's Who Among College Professors.

While finishing work on a Master of Arts in Music/Composition, Michael served as graduate teaching assistant to Dr. David Gillingham and Dr. Jose Martua, teaching second-year Music Theory and fifth-year Form & Analysis. Upon graduation, Michael was offered an Adjunct Faculty position in Sightsinging & Ear-Training.

Involved in all aspects of the operation of one of the largest high school bands in the metro Orlando area. Prior to the building of a relief high school, University High School Band had approx. 375 members. After the relief school construction, UHS was still at a county-leading 265 while Michael was there.Conducted Symphonic Band, Jazz Ensemble, Percussion Ensembles. Also taught AP Music Theory and 2 Percussion classes with 40 members in the Percussion studio. Certified for IB Music and as a Clinical Educator, and mentored academically at-risk students in core curriculum subjects during planning period. National Board candidate. Composed and arranged for the marching band, concert bands, jazz band and percussion ensemble. Many superior ratings for all groups at UHS under Michael's direction.

I produced 20 recording projects consisting of recording and generating all MIDI files for the Integrity Worship Series. This media allowed performing groups to utilize a full musical accompaniment soundtrack, while also giving the ability to mute any instruments that the performers desired to play live along with the recording playback. It also gave further flexibility regarding tempo, key, and multiple other parameters.
