Responsible for maintaining the loading cranes, conveyors and electrical equipment on the TA2

Responsible for maintaining the fixed plant, stackers and reclaimer at the port.

► Currently working on CPM Cape Preston Sino Iron (De-Watering) Project. Scopes of work includes isolating and de-isolating equipment, approved tasks, test and jog, good to go, JHEA, STAT check emergency stop circuits, drift switch, belt rip, under speed and pull wire.► Prior to this, worked with MRL at their Wodgina Lithium site which included commissioning of Train 1 and 2: Pre-energisation checks, energisation checks, I/O testing and verification, equipment run checks, sampling and interrogation of on-load testing. Other scopes of work have included:• Worked on equipment and instruments including but not limited to: Level Sensors, Flow Switches, Solenoids, Flow Transmitters, Smart Valve Controller, Under Speed Proxy, Thickness Proxy, PH Meter, Knife Gate / Dart Valves, Weightometer, Pressure Sensors, RTD's, Valve Control Panels, VSD's, MCC Buckets, Over Load Settings, SCADA/Allen Bradley PLC• Participate in the overall execution of planned and unplanned electrical based tasks.• Establish and maintain good working relationships with all internal/external departments.• Monitor, measure, communicate and report, issues, risks and technical deviations.• Adhere to and promote all statutory and regulatory aspects of OHS&E.• Conduct preventative maintenance (PM) and repair electrical plant equipment.• Conduct general repairs and calibration of industrial instrumentation. • Assist with PLC investigation / repairs.• Demonstrate a sound knowledge of the relevant standards and acts.• Adhere to Lock-Out Tag-Out (LOTO), commissioning procedures and sequencing.

► Worked on a number of BHP sites completing various commissioning and maintenance tasks:■ BHP Boddington Goldmine - Replacement of damaged ladder tray for LV and control cables to conveyor as well as replacement of pull wire safety system and commission of such system.■ BHP Whaleback - Steel conduit to diesel pump for LV and Controls, commissioning of such systems. ■ BHP Coondewanna Airport Expansion - Small lighting and power to departures and arrivals adj the terminal. ■ BHP MAC Bores Excess Water Project, Mining Area C - Installing ladder tray, steel and plastic conduit, pulling control, LV cables.• Prepared and reviewed of commissioning work pack documentation.• Coordinated with supervisor in the interface between client design and site construction.• Handled technical enquiries from field installation crews.• Raised and monitored progress of RFI's and TQ's with the project supervisor. • Confirmed circuits to correspond with termination and schematic drawings.• Undertook final checks and inspection of all equipment.• Prepared red-line drawings as required. • Completed and signed off of on ITR's and completion documents for client submission.

► Fast paced role where I utilised AutoCAD and AutoDesk to produce detailed electrical drawings relating to work scopes. Read, interpreted and understood other electrical, engineering, fabrication and fit out design drawings. Other scopes of work included:• Worked closely with the Design Department to ensure production met schedule requirements.• Created secondary structure work packs, checked plot design drawings from design.• Investigated cost efficient materials and new technology to support operations.

► Senior role where I led, managed and coordinated a team of 12 electricians and apprentices across the building of vessels in line with specifications, plans, schedules and safety requirements.• Worked closely with coordinators and managers to evaluate progression of work scopes. • Monitored / tracked budgets and resources being used on projects.• Conducted daily pre-starts and ensured all safety checks and paperwork were in order. • Attended meetings with key internal and external stakeholders with Austal. • Discussed current and future works and put plans in place to support.

► Hands on role where I worked across a broad range of E&I areas including Gas Detection, Fire Detection, Emergency Shutdown., Emergency Lighting, P.A, A.C. / Ventilation, Communication System, UPS, Navigation, VSD's and Pumps. Other scopes of work included:• Installed cable tray, conduit, LV, comms, control and data cables. • Commissioned diesel engines and diesel generating sets in line with plans.• Ensured all safety checks were completed.• Installed and terminated LV distribution boards and tested all associated circuits.• Performed other support tasks including stock taking and ordering materials.• Acted as a WRC Representative and ECA Representative respectively across operations.

► Successfully ran my own electrical business and managed the day-to-day operations including quoting, estimating, electrical work and OHS&E compliance. Typical role duties included:• Costed and estimated a range of commercial jobs, tenders and general enquiries.• Completed new project work from design through to installation.• Interpreted work instructions, drawings and schematic diagrams.• Ensured that all work was carried out in accordance with OHS&E regulations. • Advised clients and senior managers verbally or in writing on hazardous equipment.
