Through this role I have continued to refine my analytic base with conceptually diverse problems. This role enabled me to take a bottom up approach in understanding the breadth of RACTI 's opportunities and challenges from internal sources and external market conditions. Understanding these insights, and overlaying the top down strategic objectives I have been able to to present insights and solutions for use in the pricing team. Key achievements in my role were: - Consolidation of key metrics and their business insight for monthly review by Management; - Pricing analysis and the implementation of both long and short term projects; and - the development of SQL, spatial and data management skills.

The nature of the role enabled me to gain skills in conflict resolution as well as to show an ability to complete tasks dependant on accuracy at short notice. Key achievements in this role were: - Presenting research and policy development to the Minister and Chief of Staff on a variety of topics including taxation, competitive neutrality principles, national insurance schemes and electricity reform; - preparation and adaptation of ministerial briefings, constituent correspondence and speech notes in a timely fashion; - meeting and engaging with a variety of ministerial and community stakeholders; and - influencing and achieving outcomes across government agencies.

Developing my skills I worked within the Economic Analysis and Tax Revenue units. Key achievements in this role were:- Secretariat of the State Revenue Forecasting Committee; and- development of the principles for the Tasmanian State Tax Review.
