Provided new product plans and competitive assessment for several computer peripheral, software, and industrial manufacturing companies• As a consultant to the Hingham, MA Municipal Power and Light, won planning board approval for a power automation/security system, managed project. The automation project resulted in a savings of 14% of the cost of power, $3.2 million annually. Provided a similar solution for Hudson, MA.

A division of Pacific Scientific, whose major utility products are marketed under the Fisher Pierce trademark. These include outdoor lighting controls, instrumentation, relays, and utility power distribution products. Its relay and motor control products were marketed under the Sigma name.

As a Division General Manager with Dowty RFL and a Digital Equipment Corporation VAR, turned the division around from a 40% loss to over 20% profit. Capped program with a 72% gross margin on a $26 million program ( $19 mil. w/ $7 mil of additions) automating the entire NYC Transit Authority's power, signaling, and ventilation systems. Became marketing manger for the 3 Dowty RFL divisions, served 18 months as temporary engineering manager, reevaluated all engineering projects and programs to determine justification and relevance, and converted the corporate culture from years of engineering dominance to that of a marketing directed organization. The success of this program led to RFL’s purchase by Dowty PLC of the UK. I was designated to lead the technology transfer.

Worked in product rehab and turnarounds as an engineer with Westinghouse Electric Corporation and functioned as a dominant player in 6 product rebirths as well as a communications system consultant to 3 divisions. Pioneered Westinghouse SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition Systems), and wireless remote control systems for distribution of power, signals, vehicle control in hazardous environments, alarm/security systems, water/reservoir control, process control, flow of water, gas, and oil.
