Real Estate Specialist
CurrentLeon County is a county subdivision of the State of Florida. As of the 2012 Census, the population was 283,769. The principal city in the County is Tallahassee, which serves as the county seat and also serves as the state's capital. Leon County is home to two of Florida's major public universities, Florida A&M University and Florida State University. Residents of Leon County have the highest average level of education among Florida's 67 counties.My current position is responsible for the administration of the real property owned by Leon County, reporting directly to the Director of Real Estate Management. The real property owned by the County consists of over 454 locations spread throughout the county, ranging from vacant land to buildings of over 525,000 square feet. The position is responsible for all obligations related to management of this real estate portfolio, with liaison with project and facilities management teams.* Successfully reviewed and evaluated the real property portfolio, tracing ownership of each of the parcels back to the original conveyance instrument.* Redesigned the database that the County was using to tract their property, reorganizing the data and providing more detailed information for the end user.* Located and evaluated all of the tenant leases, properties leased by the county, establishing a management program for the future tracking of all the County's leasing activities .
