Previously I worked for DCWC providing project management services to a new police station in Werribee and Superintendent Representative services for a new senior school in Point Cook. Police Station, Werribee, circa $45millionJoining the project at its inception, I have been able to guide the project and it’s design team through the design phase, gaining planning permits, managing budget restrictions whilst tackling site restrictions and the on-going use of the existing station. I, assisted by the design team, have put together an early works package tender, which is currently out with tenders.Senior School, Point Cook, circa $40millionAhead of works starting on-site for the project, I assumed the role of Superintendents Representative and have since undertaken the contract administration of the project, dealing with notices of delay, variations, whilst monitoring works on-site.

I was working as part of a team on the redevelopment of the State Library Victoria which is currently in the construction phase and is due for completion in 2020. My duties included risk assessment and management plans, project formulation including budgeting and programming. Developing consultant and design briefs and managing subsequent engagements throughout the life cycle of the project. Provide policy and strategic advice to government on the project; including writing high level reports and briefs. Project management to meet all time/cost/quality/scope milestones to deliver project outcomes. Manage the tender process and monitor and manage contractor performance including contract administration as well as important stakeholder relationships.

This scheme had a large client team and design team meaning I was involved in substantial client and personnel management to put together a robust brief and planning application. Mixed-use, Fulham High Street, circa $40millionThe project involved demolition, archaeological excavation and contamination removal. Then to provide 49 apartments, 10 houses, retail and parking. I’ve been involved from the tendering process, selecting a contractor and helping to put together the contract. I have since been heavily involved in the Superintendent team controlling change procedure and payments.High-end Residential, St. Albans, circa $75million80 high-end residential apartments and townhouses with lower ground car parking and a new public square. As a result of £2m’s worth of client changes whilst on site this scheme has been extremely complicated with multiple contractor claims for extensions of time. Office Refurbishment, Leatherhead, circa $4.5millionManaging the design team and the procurement of a contractor for a scheme complicated by the presence of a tenant on the first floor. Producing phasing plans, assisting in agreeing a revised tenancy agreement, ensuring planning permission is achieved.

This role involved cost management and project management of several residential refurbishment projects in north and west London. The company were part of an investment group and were focused on adding value to properties with a high-end finish and efficient construction process. The role also involved sourcing materials, suppliers and subcontractors for each project and then as part of the project management, co-ordinate deliveries and installations around on-site contractors. Quantifying architects drawings and working within a design team to value engineer the designs to suit the projects budget.

On graduating from University, I worked part time at this E-commerce fabric and furnishing firm. My main roles included data input, website conversion analysis, liaising with the website designer, and uploading new products onto the website. As well as this, I also helped out with some general administrative jobs. While I enjoy this role, it has ultimately lead to my interest in pursuing an opportunity in a more specialist digital realm.

I worked helping a landscape gardener during the Summer in 2011. My duties were generally manual labour, although I did enjoy giving my creative opinions and suggested solutions when needed.

As a security guard, I was required to be hard working, reliable and responsible. Since this role was mainly at music festivals, I upheld my duties but also had fun too.

As part of a new team put in place, following the companies increased interest in holding events other racing at the course, I was asked to do a number of jobs concerned with catering. This included working on a bar, waiting and serving food. All of which occurred during a wide selection of events such as business events, to large christmas parties. A large majority of my time working here was spent on logistics and setting up for events. all of which has helped gain a teamwork mentality and the ability to work under others and follow orders.
