Assigned the task of designing an aggregate production site from start to finish. The production site is proposed for the Harrisburg, PA market area. All aspects of aggregate mining are included in the project such as cost estimation, equipment selection, resource mapping, pit design, market study, and financial analysis. The results of each section are presented to a board made of students, professors, and members of the industry.

At the peak of the Covid-19 pandemic, my planned mining internship was canceled last-minute. Lowe's brought me on as a hardware sales associate during a period of tremendous growth for their company. Through record supply-chain shortages, mask mandates, and increased social tensions, Lowes gave me the tools and training to deliver great customer service.Most of my day in this role was spent working with customers to find solutions to their home and business project needs. I gained valuable listening skills that I still use in my career post-graduation.

My internship with the Shelly Company allowed me to explore all areas of aggregate production. There was a set structure to my internship which allowed me to learn from professionals at various locations. Over the course of four months, I spent time working and learning within Quality Control, Site Operations, and Sales at five different locations throughout Northeast Ohio.
