Serve as counsel advising on a range of legal and business matters with a global scope including hardware product, intellectual property, regulatory compliance, risk assessment and mitigation, government relations and policy. Previously, managed a variety of personal injury, product, and business litigation while driving strategy with outside counsel to mitigation legal risks to Lime in business-centric ways by developing strategies to solve problems, while strengthening partnerships and business objectives.Prior to joining Lime, Michael managed all aspects of litigation for General Electric for eight years at Electric Insurance Company. Michael’s responsibilities include assessing litigation risk; coordinating, directing, and managing environmental claims and litigation; managing outside counsel by recommending defense strategies for defending against product liability / environmental claims; managing litigation costs and expenses; supervising legal operations, and directing settlement negotiations.Michael was formerly an associate at the law firm of Nutter McClennen & Fish where he represented clients in complex commercial and environmental litigation, including CERCLA and M.G.L. Ch. 21E cases, as well as related insurance coverage issues. Michael’s practice areas also included products liability and patent infringement litigation.Michael was formerly a member of the Steering Committee of the Boston Bar Association’s Diversity and Inclusion Section and co-chair of that Section's Education Committee. Michael is a former member of Nutter's Diversity and Inclusion Committee and a former member of the Retention and Promotion Committee of the Diversity and Inclusion Section of the BBA.Prior to joining Nutter, Michael was a law clerk for the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of New York in Syracuse, New York.
