This position involved designing sustainable public, online, open, community sourced maps, excellent data visualization, and GIS mapping, on the Commons in a Box platform. ArcGIS and its open source mapping cousin QGIS were used for data analysis . Research projects focused on different content areas, so excellent analytical and writing skills were essential. Other relevant skills included ethnographic, journalistic, community organizing, statistical analysis, communication skills, web-mapping platforms, graphic design, and video production and editing. As an adjunct lecturer in the Department of Geography at Hunter College, CUNY, I taught three sections of Introduction to Environmental Geosciences (GEOL 105), six sections of Environmental Conservation: Resource Management (GEOG 226), and one section of International Pollution Issues (GEOG 335).To incorporate digital interaction and literacy and peer-driven pedagogy into the classroom, I designed and implemented Envirocon (http://www.envirocon.org), an online community for students enrolled in Environmental Conservation: Resource Management. I also initiated and served as the director of editorial for International Pollution Issues (http://intlpollution.commons.gc.cuny.edu/), a student researched, written, and peer-reviewed journal for students taking International Pollution Issues.

Researched and authored articles concerning federal sustainability initatives. Assisted in the development of marketing and promotion materials.

Collaborate with editorial team on NAFTC monthly news content; research, write, and edit industry stories; assist with NAFTC social media management; manage circulation databases. Assist in press coverage coordination, media market and audience research, media coverage targeting, and press coverage tracking of National Alternative Fuels Day Odyssey and the NAFTC. Assisted in event coordination, marketing distribution, and hosting of National Alternative Fuels Day Odyssey educational events at over 100 sites nationwide.
