I am an educational leader and innovator , that is licensed in School Building Leadership (SBL), School District Leadership (SDL), Students with Learning Disabilities 5-9 with a concentration in teaching Mathematics. My career has given me experience in creating and implementing educational programs that excite and motivate students. Combining my background in business , special education , math, and science informs my mindful approach to leadership. I am fueled by my desire for understanding the nuances of cross-cultural and social emotional learning. I consider myself a ‘"forever student,’" eager to build on both my academic foundations in math and business, and stay in tune with the latest researched based education practices in leadership and technology through continued coursework.My constant pursuit of knowledge and determination to turn information into action has contributed to my success at being an instructor and my transition into leadership. While still teaching I began to work for a Non-For-Profit as an Academic Adviser for Westchester Community Opportunity Program (WESTCOP), where I taught and mentored “At Risk" teens and young adults helping them get their GED/TASC Diplomas. I then progressed into teaching a course for the "Teachers Learning Center" of Southern Westchester where I later was asked to be on the S.T.E.A.M. Committee as one of their advisers and currently a policy board member. I then using my educational background in business management to apply adult learning theory to hone my leadership skills. I then curated and developed lesson and activities for summer and afterschool STEAM/SEL programs for students grades 3rd - 8th grade. Meanwhile, I diligently continues to work to improve the productivity of students by implementing strategic project based learning strategies, ensuring a work-fun balance for students and put into practice those strategies in adult learning theory when it comes to being a leader. I believes mindfulness and fun in the classroom is key to success, a tenet i live out through my interests in music, traveling, reading, and technology.I am always interested in a challenge in education.
