Repairing bioreactor controls and leading system upgrade project. Used user-centered design approach to build a GUI application that transforms and stitches together data sources from upstream and downstream bioprocesses. The resulting database accelerates the analytics timeline and enables rapid model development. Additionally performing data engineering and analysis in Python and R languages.

• Designed future cloud-enabled app for use with medical device to enable machine learning data collection while preserving subject confidentiality. • Responsible for data science company wide, using Python and R. Characterized the variability of the Pregnolia System, a measurement device for tissue stiffness. • Collaborated with internal and external stakeholders on clinical study design. • Created ETL routines for 10 heterogeneous databases with clinical study results to clean and shape the data to the same format, then performed predictive model development and cross comparison. • Wrote R libraries for common operations, increasing the efficiency of analysis by over 15x. • EU Horizon 2020 SME Innovation Associate.

Led agile team in the development of a full-stack application for operations management, optimization of plant growth, and regulatory traceability for the company’s indoor vertical hydroponic farms. Built hybrid local and cloud data architecture. Responsible for all IT infrastructure.

Led the agile software development team (5 people) while developing bespoke “operating system” for AeroFarms food manufacturing facilities. Defined company data architecture and led AI growing algorithm development. Assisted business development team, building relationships with fortune 500 technology players and brought in significant resources. Gave public presentations and participated in panel discussions about AeroFarms and sustainable technology at conferences in Europe, Asia, and the United States.
