I am currently a senior business student at Iowa State University. Since I first started working part time, during my freshman year of high school, I have accumulated over 7 years of experience, mostly the retail industry, but recently I had an amazing internship in Corporate Communications department for Iowa Telecom. My belief is that I have gravitated towards these jobs, because I prefer a career that requires extensive use of interpersonal and written communication skills. In my opinion, these are two of my most valuable business skill sets. One other important trait that I possess, is my critical thinking skills, as I pride myself on on my ability to creatively problem solve on a daily basis. As far as career goals, I am going to graduate in December of 2008 and right now my short term occupational goals is to find a career after graduation. I say career, because I am looking for a job in a company that I would be comfortable staying with long term, and possibly my whole working life. When it comes to long range career goals, I would like to work my way up the corporate ladder, first becoming a V.P. and then eventually working as a top level executive.
