Researched and deployed ML models for insight generation NLP tasks. Built a graph database representation of entity relationships for a FE network visualisation tool, implementing user based access control at an entity level. Presented at Knowledge Graphs and Ontologies for Intelligence Defence and Security Symposium 2024, a poster called `Outperforming cutting edge graph databases with a relationship centric, relational database`. Built and maintained backend services in golang to expose endpoints and integrate with databases (postgres, tigergraph), caches (redis) for fundamental stateless python models.Used litellm to generate structured output from llm responses to unstructured text data.

Led a team of 5 Data Scientists and Engineers to deliver numerous projects for both the ONS and wider government departments, producing national, and experimental economic statistics.Provided technical guidance and steer to junior developers. Built pyspark based pipelines to handle high volumes of sensitive data. Championed the use of test-driven development, and continuous integration to build production-ready code. Led on the technical implementation of a project with commercial, OGD, and academic partners to revolutionise how certain statistics were created in the future.

Led a team of 5 Data Science and Statistics Trainers to develop and deliver high quality and up to date technical courses across the Civil Service. Managed the shift to remote training, asynchronous learning, and the changes needed to deliver all training as an optional e-learning module.
