This included an accurate assessment as to the merits of a case, drafting and issuing pleadings, disclosure and assessment of documentary evidence, production of trial bundles, calculation of loss and damages, settlement negotiations (and drafting of settlement agreements), drafting witness statements, instructing counsel and preparing briefs.Undertook other work such as leading the in-house advocacy of a team of 12 earners, mantained and developed client relationships primarily through attending out of work social functions and undertook significant non-contentious work. Was the fee earner in 259 cases at Thompsons Solicitors acquiring damages for clients in excess of £1.5 million and billed over 6,000 hours of work. Show less
