As Technical Delivery Manager for the Student Lifecycle Product Line I modernised ICT operations by implementing an Agile/SDLC model focussed on outcomes rather than output. Leading cross-functional teams in response to the global pandemic, I delivered strategic objectives such as an MVP of remote services for over 25,000 users within 3 weeks and a Covid-19 Test & Trace system currently active as part of the worldwide network combating the virus. Achievements: Leading the delivery of a Covid-19 Test & Trace system including mobile app for a world ranked top 10 HEI in collaboration with the NHS. Transforming IT delivery by spearheading and implementing an Agile delivery model. Creating and championing Scrum teams resulting in organisational wide adoption. Introducing a resource and priority management structure across product lines and cross-functional squads.

Managing a team of project managers and business analysts I delivered over 30 business-critical projects across the ICT Education portfolio. As well as education technologies, I delivered strategic projects incl. implementation of a new customer service desk tool, finance, HR and infrastructure projects as well as cutting-edge products. A notable example being an initiative to optimise space and the estate. In collaboration with Lone RoofTop, the company environmental impact was cut by a percent factor of hundreds and estate costs dramatically reduced through effective climate and space management controls. Achievements: Instigating and developing a mature Programme Management structure incl. use of BI tools, change management controls and consistent reporting. Leading and managing a high-performing team of PMs and BAs, introducing Agile and iterative development methodology and practices. Standardising and centralising the resource and priority management process and tools vastly improving forecasting, pipeline/backlog management and meeting customer expectations. Coaching and developing members of my team to progress to senior roles and deliver major projects.

In my role as Senior Project Manager at the LSE I managed a portfolio delivering strategic projects and programmes across several business operations incl. Education, Finance, HR and Research. In addition to managing projects and multi-disciplinary teams, I revamped the structure and processes of the PMO introducing industry best practice such as a defined highlight report structure and project governance. Achievements: Revolutionising Finance and HR operations with the implementation of an enterprise-level platform. Procuring a world-leading grant management platform securing over £100m in research funding. Increasing quality of delivery output utilising tools and best practice to increase visibility and accountability.

My stand out achievement at UoR was the creation of the Project/Transformation Management Office and dedicated central delivery function. I was entrusted to design, create and develop a PMO aligned with a centralised business function model. Primary lead for the management/delivery of a suite of international degrees along with primary lead for design framework and coordination between partner institutions. I was particularly proud of overhauling the student application process by introducing new tools and systems to dramatically improve the UX and back-end functionality.

Part of the supply chain for large-scale commercial developments (John Lewis, Sainsbury’s, BBC) I managed product delivery for a global lighting manufacturer coordinating procurement, manufacture and logistics of core infrastructure to business.
