Griffin Financial Group is a FINRA-licensed investment bank headquartered in Pennsylvania. The firm provides M&A advisory, capital formation and strategic consulting services to financial institutions, commercial and industrial companies and private equity sponsors, as well as companies facing special situations.

After multiple consulting and investment banking relationships since 2008, Mr. McCauley became an advisor to the Lane Board in 2013 and a Board Member in 2015. In October 2016, Mr. McCauley joined Lane to develop and lead the implementation of the Company's long range strategic plan for growth and value enhancement with a focus on optimizing financial performance, identifying and analyzing business opportunities, and developing growth strategies. Lane is seeking to grow organically and through acquisitions by increasing market share of existing products in current markets, adding complimentary products, and expanding into new market territories.

Mike transitioned to Phoenix Management Services, LLC in 2006 where he became President of its investment banking subsidiary, Phoenix Capital Resources, and later became a shareholder of the firm. While at Phoenix, Mike served as Chief Restructuring Officer, Investment Banker, and Financial Advisor for clients requiring new capital or under sale mandates, including Bankruptcy 363 and UCC Article 9 sales.

Mr. McCauley was a Vice President and Portfolio Manager with FINOVA Capital Corporation. He first focused on underwriting and structuring new loans for acquisitions and turnarounds and became a Vice President Portfolio Manager responsible for various portfolios of troubled loans of all types and industry specialties. During the last six years with FINOVA, he assisted with the orderly wind down of its $7 billion diversified portfolio which included complex loan restructurings, bankruptcies, and liquidations. In some instances, restructurings included converting debt to equity and selling businesses. He held executive-level positions in two operating companies that FINOVA took control of through debt-to-equity conversions and also served on an Official Committee of Unsecured Creditors in a Chapter 11 liquidation.During his career, Mr. McCauley specialized in serving private companies in a wide spectrum of industries in the U.S. and Canada. Mr. McCauley structured and negotiated countless new financing transactions, loan modifications, forbearance agreements, financial restructurings, recapitalizations, and legal settlements both in and out of court. He also managed the sale and divestiture of numerous companies and specific assets under Chapter 11 and Chapter 7 bankruptcies and under UCC Article 9.

Mr. McCauley began his career in the credit training program of CoreStates Bank, N.A. in Philadelphia PA. He completed the Wholesale Bank Training Program working in middle market and asset based lending, including loan participations with Congress Financial Corporation.
