As a commissioned Spiritual Director, my calling is to be that centering presence for those who seek a deeper relationship with God, however that is defined for them. I provide a safe and discreet setting in which to relax and explore the possibilities of that relationship, and how they might answer the call to a role far larger than the one they now discern for themselves.Much of what I do is centered around the words and images people use to describe themselves and their environment, and sometimes it is a easy as finding a new word for s moment in their life which can open the doors to entirely new opportunities to expand their awareness of The Eternal.My extensive background in theology, classical and medieval studies, NLP, faith-centered hypnosis, and writing and publishing provide a pivotal platform for people to pursue their understanding of the fluidity between this perception of reality and one which understands the intertwining of the spiritual, the mystical, and the practical in their daily lives.This is furthered for them through experiential moments of visio divina, mind and soul mapping, labyrinth walking, and the interpretation of the sacred, ecclesiastical, and liturgical arts.Additionally, for the past quarter-century-plus, I have designed and presided at funeral, memorial, and celebration of life services for families who are spiritual but not religious, or who have no tradition upon which to draw upon at the death of a loved one. I also provide spiritually-based grief support in both groups and individual sessions.Settings for my services vary, from the traditional funeral home, to forest preserves, and working with home death-care, vigils, graveside services and scatterings, and green burials.My services are always highly personalized, compassionate, and expressive, ranging from the very traditional to ultra-contemporary and Avant Garde in style. They may be very simple, or as complex and curated as desired, drawing in theatrical lighting, interpretive dance, live music, immersive walk-through memory environments, and more.My goal in any and all of this is focused on helping people to become reintegrated with their world, albeit in a different context, and to facilitate the start of the healing process in their lives going forward.Our lives are Divinely designed to be active and participatory expressions of something far greater than we can ever begin to imagine this side of Eternity. My role is to serve as your outfitter and guide to realms which hitherto may only have been faint echoes of what truly awaits you.
