As a Director of Construction in the Planning, Design, and Construction Department at Stanford Health Care, I work within a team responsible for delivering the health care system’s construction projects. We focus on identifying, preventing, and resolving construction challenges to minimize risk. As Preconstruction Director, I was the leader of Skanska USA Building’s Preconstruction Group in Northern California, I worked with a team of talented preconstruction professionals on projects up to $500M as we collaborated with Skanska’s operations teams to deliver top-tier construction solutions to our customers.We provided unique value by providing reliable, data-driven cost information and preconstruction services that allowed our customers to make informed decisions to optimize their projects. We brought a strong focus on lean principles (continuous improvement and collaboration techniques), data-driven benchmarking and estimating, and committing to our customers to deliver preconstruction services with a best-for-project mindset.Representative clients/projects include mission critical and semiconductor markets, Sutter Health, Microsoft, San Francisco International Airport, Boehringer Ingelheim, HCA (Hospital Corporation of America), San Jose State University, Remington Hotels, Consulate General of Denmark, and County of San Mateo.As a Preconstruction Manager, I was responsible for construction project estimates up to $500 million. My experience includes project estimation in the earliest conceptual stages and continues through bid day and buyout. I covered a wide range of construction markets including healthcare, technology, research & development, office, higher education, and aviation.
