With 25+ years of experience in construction project leadership, preconstruction, and collaborative project delivery, my areas of interest include continuous improvement of construction processes, construction cost trends, and team building.I started my healthcare construction career as a general contractor at the Practice Integration Program for Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, where I worked for 6 years. Next, my healthcare construction journey took me to the Southeast, where I worked on a series of projects for the Carolinas Healthcare System. For the past 19 years, I've been working on the West Coast in the San Francisco Bay Area. My current role is as Director of Construction for Stanford Health Care, focused on the Packard 3.0 Program for the Lucile Packard Children's Hospital.I have served my local community as a lead mentor in the ACE Mentor Program, which introduces high school students to architecture, construction, and engineering careers. I am also a fellow of Leadership Palo Alto. I have earned credentials from HCAI / OSHPD, ASHE, DBIA, LEED, and ASPE. Formal education includes a bachelor degree in Construction Engineering from Iowa State University and masters degree in Business Administration from University of Florida.
