As a member of the Executive Leadership Team, I was responsible for Technology at RediMed. I presented the technology update at the monthly board meetings, managing the internal Business Analysts and Developers along with the engagement with all our technology vendors both onshore and offshore.I was responsible for ensuring that our technology seamlessly integrated into the business. This includes managing telephony, hardware, software, networking and a multi-cloud environment. I worked with the relevant vendors to ensure technology had as little an impact on the business as possible. I also introduced a project management methodology to ensure that our projects could be tracked and managed sufficiently through to delivery.I worked to improve the cyber security posture through updates to staff, advising staff, working to organise security training for all staff, maintaining a cyber security register and actively working to reduce internal threats. I created and presented the technology roadmap to the board of RediMed. I also formulated a data and integration strategy, along with designing the high-level future application state.I completed cyber security and technology responses for tenders to ensure RediMed was compliant, and also won further business.RediMed is currently on a growth trajectory to open more sites around the country. Key to this is standardised technology and I put a standard technology recipe in place to ensure simplification for current and future sites. This has helped to simplify the technology ordering process and offered cost savings based on Vendor agreements.When I arrived at RediMed there were substantial issues with the phone system. I worked with Telstra and our other telephony vendors to get faulty equipment replaced and then ran an RFP process to get a new telephony and internet service to be standardised for all sites.

Having the Data & Analytics Lead, the BA Lead, Application Development Lead, Project Managers, Architect and Engineers reporting to me. I am responsible for delivery performance on projects, across the 3 pillars of frontline first, growth and innovation, secure and efficient IT. My team and I engage with users to translate and prioritise business needs into technical requirements and acceptance criteria for project release and training needs. I work with key stakeholders to achieve productivity improvements, having conceived, and implemented system automation to move away from the manual way of doing things, which was the way before me stepping into the role. As part of the Executive Team, I am expected to provide active input into the development and implementation of strategic, tactical business plans and financial budgeting/forecasting. Having a delivery focus, I utilise reporting and analytics to prioritise resource allocation to ensure business outcomes are met. I worked at implementing a cultural change by replacing contract staff with permanent staff, who are invested in the organisation’s values. This required an intense recruitment drive to implement Team Growth and promote cultural/skills fit. I am a big believer in getting the right people for the job and fostering the type of environment to hold on to good staff, which includes embracing flexible working environments with autonomy, underpinned by accountability. When I took over this position, there was no process structure and a total lack of accountability. One of my priorities was to introduce process improvement & governance to manage business growth and risks.

I am responsible for a team that supports and enables 15+ business units across Australia and New Zealand. My team is responsible for development, reporting and analytics and integrations for both internal and external products. I maintain our backlog across over 30 products. This backlog is prioritised in collaboration with the business units and allows the team to focus on the items that deliver the most value to a business unit in a timely manner.I conduct weekly and fortnightly catchup-ups with the business units that my team supports. I use these sessions to provide updates (in addition to weekly reports), refine requirements and to prioritise the items in our backlog. The sessions are conducted with heads of the business units and other representative staff. This frequent engagement has led to great relationships being established and extremely positive feedback in a recent 360 review. As an approachable leader within the IT team, I often serve as an escalation mechanism for my stakeholders for issues.When I joined APM my team consisted of 8 staff, covering development, data and analytics and application support. This team was quite disjointed and not delivering at a consistent level. I introduced transparency, accountability, ownership and a learning culture, which set the foundation to building a cohesive team. Targeted recruitment and acquisitions saw the team size increase and its productivity more than double.I am driven to continuously improve our processes, procedure and standards and to apply and refine our agile development methodology. I have also defined the teams’ position descriptions, with clearer career pathways and performed annual performance reviews and monthly one on ones. I actively conduct our daily stand-ups, weekly planning and month retrospective sessions, and allow time for weekly learning sessions and strongly promote the team participating in self-paced training to improve and refine their skillsets.

I was responsible for the team working on both the current and future Communicare products. This team encompassed people from Product, UX Design, Architecture, Development and Testing. I managed two teams: one maintaining a legacy product (Delphi & .Net with a Firebird database) with quarterly releases and the other working on our next generation product (.Net Core & React with a SQL Server database).I was required to manage technical relationships with customers and government agencies and maintain a high-level understanding of our technology and market technology trends to better assist the team. This role required that I work with internal and external stakeholders to balance their needs and ensure delivery of quality product within tight timeframe. This included adhering to appropriate service level agreements when interacting with customer support requests.I looked to continuously improve our processes, procedure and standards and to apply and refine our agile development methodology. I also defined the teams position descriptions, with clear career pathways and performed annual performance and salary reviews. As a senior member of staff, I worked with our support department to implement and refine their policies and procedures around service delivery including being an escalation point.I created and maintained feature roadmaps to provide focus and clarity, to internal and external stakeholders. Along with this I was also required to produce monthly project status reports for the Telstra Health Project Management Office to show status and secure further capital funding. I was part of a team of developers working on the Communicare product. My role required me to assist the team leader with architecture, analysis and design, project management, team mentoring and support, customer support and software development. I was key to moving us from Delphi to .Net based technologies and migrating data from other systems to ours. Primary developer on the PAM Enterprise suite of products. This involved leading a small team of developers, working with enterprise level customers to determine requirements, work estimation and delivery. I travelled to customer sites across Australia and New Zealand to implement our software and to work with 3rd party vendors on enterprise level integrations.
