We are focused on the heart of Southeast Asia where poverty is high, education is low, needs are great, darkness is everywhere, and the love and message of Jesus is needed to transform lives.There are 6 key things that NTIM does: 1) sends “laborers” into the heart of the 10-40 window, 2) builds bridges to the lost through teaching English, 3) rescues children from extreme poverty and prevent human trafficking, 4) cares for those affected by HIV/AIDS, 5) makes disciples, trains nationals and facilitates church planting, and 6) utilizes volunteers to partner on the field and be an active part of God's work. GLS was born out of a desire to meet a current need to provide quality English language instruction to the people living in and around Northern Thailand. Before founding GLS, Michael spent over 2 years in fulltime language school in Bangkok learning to speak, read, and write Thai before moving his family to Chiang Rai to establish an English language teaching base. In partnership with the Thai People's Welfare Foundation, Michael founded the Lighthouse Language Center in Chiang Rai in the fall of 2001 and served there as the Director until 2005 when he left the Lighthouse and began preparing to establish what has now become Grace Language School.Grace Language School is located in front of Rajabhat University and has become known as Chiang Rai's best English language school. Grace Language School is registered with the Ministry of Education of Thailand and is owned and operated under NTIM's sister foundation in Thailand called: Channel of Blessing Foundation.

Lead Pastor of Baan Athitaan Church, Chiangrai Thailand where we seek to make disciples of all the nations and join God in transforming this part of the world for Jesus through the Word of God, the Spirit of God, and through the people of God utilizing their lives and various compassion in action type ministries in our community - all in partnership with NTIM where Michael serves as VP and Director of Field Operations (www.gontim.org).Baan Athitaan Church was birthed out of a vision to open an English language school as a means to reach the community for Jesus and start a strong mother church that had the DNA to help transform the community through the Word of God, the Spirit of God, and the people of God and the DNA to facilitate planting other churches. The first service for began in the the home of Michael & Hope Johnson in October 2001 and after some tremendous growth the church is currently in their 5th location and the church family is made up of over 20 different people groups from the community, some of these people groups some of the least reached in the 10-40 Window. Baan Athitaan Church is strategically located, supernaturally equipped, and known as a community focused purpose driven church with a unique blend of national and international leadership all serving together for the glory of God and the advancement of His kingdom. God has surrounded Baan Athitaan Church with awesome partners from all over the world that continue to come and serve in the ministry in various volunteer type roles and help financially underwrite some key ministries related to the consequences of extreme poverty and helping provide children and adults with a future and a hope.

Served as a field representative for "The International Company" of the SBC in several roles. Originally served as a language student in Bangkok, Thailand studying the Central Thai language for 2 years. Also served as the Strategy Coordinator for the unreached people group called the Khon Muang (the Northern Thai UPG) and lead and oversaw the work in Northern Thailand until July 2006.

RESPONSIBILITIESHaving established a history of adding value to a materials group, Sharp approached me about joining their Procurement Staff as a Buyer of high volume components for their microwave oven and television production. Sharp produces approximately 1.75 million microwave ovens and 1.5 million televisions a year in their Memphis manufacturing facility. I was directly responsible for managing the business relationship of over 100 Suppliers and over $350 million in annual purchases of materials needed for microwave production. CONTRIBUTIONS:* Developed strong partnerships with suppliers and helped them develop ISO 9001 certification. * Supervised and trained buyers in negotiating, cost analysis, supplier management, and scheduling. * Designed and implemented a PC based mini Materials Requirement Planning (MRP) system.* Implementing strategic supply plans that have produced the following results to date: - Reduced material cost by well over $7,000,000 in 4 years - Reduced Inventory on most items from 30 days to 10 days - Reduced Inventory on selected items to Just-In-Time (JIT) deliveries

RESPONSIBILITIESHaving been one of Sika's customers for three years at Brock Manufacturing, Sika approached me about joining their Kansas City staff as their Purchasing Manager. Sika produces adhesives, sealants, and acoustical materials for the metal building, appliance, and automotive industries ($15 Million). I was responsible for managing over $6 million in annual purchases consisting of 400 raw materials including: chemicals, fibers, fillers, rubbers, papers, polys, corrugated and other packaging materials.CONTRIBUTIONS* Designed & coordinated a mini MRP project for MIS. * Designed & implemented the purchasing section for ISO 9001 certification.* Implemented strategic supply plans that produced the following results: - Reduced material cost by well over $100,000 - Eliminated virtually all late deliveries and supplier apathy - Eliminated stock-outs on repetitive MRO supplies
