I am a Registered Nurse working on a Medical/Telemetry unit at Northwest Hospital in Seattle Washington, after spending over a year at Renown- South Meadow Medical Center as a Med/Tele Nurse. I achieved certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC). I graduated from Truckee Meadows Community College (TMCC) in 2009 with an Associates of Degree in Nursing. Currently, I am working towards a Bachelors level of Nursing.My volunteer work has included the Logistical Committee for the 2007 American cancer society Relay for Life. I am an active member of the Medical Reserve Corps (MRC) both in Washoe County, NV and now in King County, WA.Before transitioning into my nursing career, I was a massage therapist for over 10 years, spending a significant amount of time working at Saint Mary’s center for Health and Fitness. I have worked as a physical therapy technician and taught Massage Therapy at the Baum school of Healing Arts. In 2001, I earned an Associates degree from TMCC before transferring to UNR and graduating in 2005 with a bachelors’ in Health Ecology.I also have a background in oriental medicine theory with 150 hour of Japanese Seifukujitsu restorative massage training and a 2nd degree black belt from the American Judo and Jujitsu Federation (AJJF) in the Hawaiian martial art Danzan Ryu Jujitsu. I was an enlisted soldier in the United States Army and served three years active duty from 1996-99. I served both in Missouri and North Carolina and overseas in South Korea and Nicaragua.
