I focus my practice on matters of general counsel to multiemployer (Taft-Hartley) health, retirement, and other employee benefits plans. My diverse educational background and broad array of interests are valuable assets to my clients. With a degree in theoretical mathematics, I have a unique perspective. I use that perspective to empower clients to efficiently meet complex regulatory demands.I advise clients on compliance with and operation under ERISA, the ACA, HIPAA, GINA, COBRA, the PPA, MPRA, and the many other federal statutes that affect employee benefits plans. I manage litigation for clients, such as benefit, contract, and collection suits. I draft and amend plan documents of all types. As general counsel, I advise on all vendor contracts, including those with third party administrators, medical claims processors, pharmacy benefit managers, reinsurers, independent review organizations, investment managers, investment funds, investment consultants, and other funds. In every matter, my aim is to minimize cost, complexity, exposure, and disruption.
