I am a writer, researcher, genealogist, family biographer, and self-publisher of eight books in the genre since 2001.In my previous life I was a corporate communicator, storyteller, business developer, and strategic account manager in organisations such as Westpac Banking Corporation, Security Mail and ComputerShare.At the core of my academic and business values as a corporate storyteller and source of truth, has been a strong adherence to the ethics of journalism, public relations, social and political studies, gained as a mature student at QUT and University of Technology Sydney.Such gravitas enabled me to engage with potential high-value clients, build favourable images of my companies, and gain insights into corporate structures and opportunities. I was able to develop trusting and lasting relationships that delivered revenue growth and profitable outcomes.The last 20 years of my business life was in business process outsourcing with leading service providers such as Security Mail and ComputerShare. Here I was engaged in client relationships and sales management, demonstrating a broad experience in Direct Marketing and Essential Mail services for Banking, Finance and Government clients to communicate with their customers.My early and formative business life was spent with Westpac Banking Corp over 26 years, encompassing everything from corporate advisory on business IT services, project management, business analysis, computer room operations, product development, to branch management.
