I have assisted in developing ordinances and advocating for their successful passing in five cities. I co-founded the Surfrider Ocean Friendly Restaurant program that has successfully reduced the use of plastics in restaurants by working with local restaurant owners and managers to voluntarily change their business practice to reduce single-use plastics and provide an environmentally friendly approach. All programs and ordinances have resulted in significantly reducing plastic pollution.
