The role is primarily responsible for leading the Business Services and Performance (BS&P) team and formulating the overall BS&P strategy to support LMW’s achievement of the overarching business strategy. The BS&P team encompasses financial and management reporting, corporate planning, the 5-year pricing submission, tax, treasury, fixed assets, business partnering, support services, procurement, risk, governance, fleet and IT. The role is also responsible for the Executive leadership of LMW’s Business Transformation Project (BTP).Key responsibilities• Trusted partner and second in charge to the MD• Drive and deliver Board expectations and priorities• Drive and deliver Strategic priorities and efficiencies in collaboration with the Executive team• Provide leadership and direction to the 50 staff in BS&P• Deliver the 5-year Pricing Submission and Corporate Plan• Develop and implement the strategic blueprint for Business Services & Performance• Develop trusting and enduring relationships with key internal and external stakeholders VAGO, ESC, DTF and DEECA• Review and restructure the BS&P team to enable a high performing, commercially minded and customer focused culture• Executive Sponsor of the Business Transformation Project • Establish appropriate financial control & corporate governance structures (including policies and procedures)• Key business advisor to the Board, Finance & Audit Committee and Governance & Risk Committee• Present financial insights to the Executive and Board

The role is primarily responsible for developing and implementing financial strategies and leading the Financial Services team which encompasses financial and management reporting, tax, treasury, fixed assets, business partnering, support services, procurement and capital improvement.I joined CWW at the beginning of its commercial transformation journey. With a new customer focused strategy and executive team in place, my immediate challenge was to develop and implement a Finance strategy and inspire commercial rigour and disciplines to CWW. The role is primarily responsible for leading the finance, commercial and shared services teams to deliver financial and commercial support to the business. I joined Citywide in the midst of a significant transformation which was subsequent to the formation of a completely new Board and Executive management team. Key responsibilities include:• Provide leadership and direction to the 26 staff in finance representing corporate finance, business partnering and shared services (AR, AP and Purchasing).• Develop and implement the 3 year strategic blueprint for finance.• Restructure the finance team to enable the efficient provision of support to the business in AR, AP, purchasing, reporting (mid - month, monthly, statutory, regulatory and board), fixed assets, taxation, treasury, budgeting & forecasting and commercial support.• Mentor and develop the finance team including conducting performance reviews, KPI setting, compiling development plans and monitoring of staff engagement.• Create a high performance culture.• Due diligence lead for mergers and acquisitions.• Establish appropriate financial control & corporate governance structures.• Re-connecting with the City of Melbourne’s Finance and Commercial teams.• Key business advisor to the Audit & Finance Committee for accounting standard changes and other accounting matters that impact business performance.

The role is primarily responsible for leading the financial control team to deliver financial and management reporting across the group and to oversee statutory and regulatory reporting. The role is also responsible for co-ordinating the annual budgeting and longer term forecasting requirements for 25 individual departments (50 in total) across UE and MG.I joined UE & MG in the midst of the biggest transformation project in UE & MG’s history that involved the insourcing of the strategic management capability from Jemena into UE. The project would deliver a new operating model and provide increased strategic management capability and control.
