Mike's core responsibilities are implementing complex corporate software, prioritizing project deliverables, and launching new products. Having worked directly with 100+ onshore, nearshore, and offshore engineers/technicians/UX designers and shipped 70+ new features, Mike enjoys streamlining and modernizing business processes to achieve peak efficiency. He's developed a recent appreciation for human psychology, change management, and walking in the shoes of the end user.Mike earned a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University and a Master's degree in Business Administration from Indiana University. He's dedicated the last 20+ years to Information Technology working most recently in the Insurance and Financial Services industries. Mike is also a civic leader and community volunteer. He was the founding president of Young Leaders of Northeast Indiana, also serving on multiple boards including Leadership Fort Wayne and the Purdue Fort Wayne Alumni Association. Mike has volunteered his logistics and tech skills to planning fundraisers for the Fort Wayne Children's Zoo and The Carriage House. He's also served as Treasurer for ArtLink, a community arts organization, and spent many years coaching soccer, with an emphasis on developing children's character first and winning games second.Mike also has a strong interest in education, having volunteered as a Lead Technical Judge for the First Lego League youth robotics competition. He spent several years with the Advisory Board of Purdue's college of Engineering Technology and Computer Science to review and plan curriculum changes. Finally, Mike has served as an essay judge for the annual Scholastic Art & Writing Awards for the Education Department at the Fort Wayne Museum of Art. Mike was the 2005 recipient of the Future 40 Award – 40 leaders under the age of 40. In 2006 he was nominated for a scholarship to attend the signature program of Leadership Fort Wayne – a year long leadership development course. In 2014 he received a Distinguished Service award from Young Leaders of Northeast Indiana for Board of Directors development and succession planning.For hobbies, Mike plays mediocre Ultimate Frisbee, enjoys kayaking, and is a wannabe professional photographer. He loves good food and bad golf. Mike's mission in life is to leave this world a better place than it was before he arrived in it, and he strives to make a daily effort towards this goal.
