While the organization depends on attorneys volunteering 1-2 days per month for 3-4 hours each session, I worked with the organization 2-3 days per week, for both morning and afternoon sessions. I worked with people during their darkest times, usually within 24 hours of an assault. I helped our clients with pave their own path to personal freedom from violence; what they gave me in return, other than legal experience, was profoundly greater. When I began with Trek Freight, I was the third employee hired during the eighth month of doing business.
