Curiousity keeps me alive. I thrive on discovering how things work and how things can be improved. My working life has taken me to a wide variety of organisations from multi-nationals companies to public sector bodies and ultimately creating a small business. My personal activities have centred around sport, music and entertainment.From school to university it was my interest in all things engineering and technology that influenced my studies. Without knowing it I became an early adopter and have a great collection of old technology. Making things and taken them apart was what I enjoyed then and still do now.My various jobs introduced me to design, manufacturing, planning and sales. Running my own business exposed the areas where I needed to develop new skills and forced me to give sufficient time to the stuff I preferred not doing!I have continued to improve my skill set and clearly see the value of Strategy, Innovation and Leadership in achieving success.Away from the Uxl business activity I am involved in community projects centred on participation in sport.Asking questions is my most effective tool for clarifying and defining the problem.My imagination explores ideas, making new connections across my wide interests.A strategic plan for making things happen turns ideas into usable stuff.Energy, passion and team work ensures things get done.I am always looking to make new connections and start new projects.Get in touch to explore an idea.
