Michael has over 20 years international experience in a range of technology related roles. At Carnival Australia Michael is accountable for Information Technology across shoreside and shipboard operations, with a focus on ensuring IT priorities and service capabilities align with and support business strategy.In his time with Carnival, Michael has led the IT team to:Deliver multiple ship transition activities which include rebuilding infrastructure and applications stacks to match brand standards;Improving IT infrastructure resiliency shipboard and shoreside;Revamping the onboard connectivity experience across satellite services, billing platforms, and wifi coverage;Technology to enable our resumption of cruising and improve guest experience, e.g. simplified embarkation; andVarious digital evolutions including website mordenisations and a guest app.Michael’s key areas of focus currently are improving capability in commercial and digital technology for the P&O Australia brand, as well as the cyber and compliance space.Prior to joining Carnival Michael's experience includes consulting to various industries across several technology dimensions, including Project management; IT audits; IT strategies; Software Development and Support; and IT due diligence and Transaction related IT transformation.In particular Michael led several large system and technology implementations. In particular, leading the carve-out process and IT program for a large Government transaction, the 99-year lease over Port Botany.Michael also has deep expertise in developing and executing IT strategies aligned with business strategy, leveraging his ability to communicate with Executives and senior management regarding complex technical matters.
