I am a Partner within Assurance services specialising in providing audit services to companies across Ireland and Northern Ireland. Within my role I am responsible for managing a team of auditors within the Belfast office who are involved in auditing both local and multinational clients reporting under both UK GAAP and IFRS. The clients range in sectors from food and drink, agriculture, technology, engineering and property which offers’ me a diverse opportunity to draw upon my previous commercial banking experience.Since joining EY as a Director in 2012 I have also taken responsibility for leading the Entrepreneur of the Year Programme in Northern Ireland. This prestigious role allows me to guide entrepreneurial companies on their journey though the Entrepreneur of the year programme and to offer entrepreneurial and business advice to them surrounding their sector. Prior to joining EY I worked with Bank of Ireland laterally as Head of Banking for the UK for over eleven years. This was a high profile role in which I was responsible for resetting the strategy for the business post the financial and banking crisis. Furthermore I was focussed upon stabilising the business and creating a platform from which to grow and reshape the business.
