I’m a recent graduate in Chemical Engineering from the University of Iowa with a focus in Sustainability. I served as a Pollution Prevention Intern with the Iowa DNR on assignment at a Smithfield Foods plant in Denison, IA in the summer of 2019. While on assignment at Smithfield, I gained experience in project management and developed three environmental-related projects. The completion of these projects led to recommendations in $76,000 annual cost savings. At Iowa, I served as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant for four different courses and as an Engineering Tutor for three years. These roles helped me expand my leadership and communication skills, while serving my peers. I am actively seeking a full-time engineering position in the Chicagoland area or Orange County, California area.
