Monitored and oversaw the workflow on all system platforms and monitoring tools such as AS400, Mainframe (CA-7), OpenView, AutoSys, CA Spectrum (WAN/LAN monitor), VCC (Virtual Command Center), TSM and NNM (Network Node Manager).Reacted to approximately 800 – 1000 alerts on a daily basis on these systems.Created and scheduled break/fix change management records and worked with numerous other teams with their change managements. Ensured tickets created by Operations were updated and high priority tickets were closely monitored.Closely monitored high severity issues until they were resolved. Placed conference calls for outage issues. Place hardware calls with multiple hardware vendors such as IBM, HP, Terix, Park Place, CompuCom, EMC, Global Maintech, NetApp, Stratus and SUN Microsystems. Responsible for ensuring SLA’s were adhered to by support vendors. Responsible for monitoring network issues on a global basis. Reacted to approximately 150 alerts for network issues on a daily basis. Monitoring worldwide sites and called site contacts in many countries around the globe to help resolve network issues due to WAN, LAN, Internet and Firewall problems. Work with global telecommunication vendors, such as NTTA (Nippon Telegraph & Telephone America), BT (British Telecom) and AT&T (both America and International) calling them to report network outages around the world and closely monitoring the problem until it is resolved.Identify and improve processes by updating and creating work instructions to be followed by support personnel.Identify manual processes that can be automated to eliminate human error.Analyze and recommend enhancements to harmonize processes and procedures between multiple Data Center sites within Pfizer.Responsible for training all team members and keeping them up to date with any changes to processes that occur.Acted as manager in his absence.Participate in daily Corporate Data Center status meetings.
