Researched and analysed information on structural designs, materials, construction processes, hydrostatics, hydrodynamics, stability and rules and regulations. Toured Italian shipyards to discuss the project and gain additional insight. Translated information and documentation from Italian to English. Oversaw administration of the 2-year EBDIG project in Genoa and worked closely with department heads at each of the project partners. • Initiated successful introduction of naval architecture learning material to the project.• Conducted ergonomic analysis of helms and bridges using RAMSIS software in conjunction with the head of STResearch. • Assumed leadership of a project that had previously been well behind schedule and completed it on deadline.• Developed CAD structures and section drawings.
