Michael is the COO|CFO of the newly launched Quanterra Master Fund headquarterd in Denver, CO. Quanterra Capital Management was formed in 2018 by a group of seasoned finance professionals and serial entrepreneurs to pursue a second generation replication of a core quantitative, market-neutral investment strategy. Quanterra is a systematically-driven market-neutral fund which deploys investment strategies based on four main principles:asset volatilities will revert to their mean; risk premia pricing in the derivative markets increases with time; investors required rate of return increases in an exponential function with increasing risk; and that asset prices should be consistent across all capital and derivative markets. The Fund currently implements three uncorrelated strategies utilizing these principles withinthe US markets to generate high returns with limited downside: (1) a Stat Arb strategy focused on exploiting historical and statistically reoccurring inefficiencies between correlated securities; (2) a Volatility strategy focused on generating profits from the term structure of risk premia in the volatility derivative markets combined with a Hedging strategy focused on capturing high returns during times of market stress; and (3) an Income strategy designed to provide stable returns by collecting stock -loan rebates from hard-to-borrow equities and the differences between implied and actual dividends.

Quanterra Capital Management was formed in 2018 by a group of seasoned finance professionals and serial entrepreneurs to pursue a second generation replication of a core quantitative, market-neutral investment strategy. The combination of previously developed and implemented strategies by Ouroboros Asset Management along with the inclusion of extensively back-tested complimentary and refined strategies has shown to generate enhanced returns, provide greater downside protection, and deliver less portfolio volatility. This new fund demonstrates a favorable risk profile versus the majority of pedigree firms in the sector, generates outperformance to similar asset classes, and delivers superior returns compared to multiple benchmarks. 2018 performance was more than 35% net of fees with a Sharpe ratio of 1.57% and Risk Tolerance of 5% which clearly demonstrates the efficacy of this strategy.

Michael oversaw the acquisition, financing, development, and marketing of all the Papillon Wellness, LLC projects. Each individual property will employ a holistic approach that emphasizes the integration of each location with its natural environment and the ultimate synchronicity of all sustainable design disciplines in the planning process. Our hallmark will be the creation of fully sustainable properties that are site-sensitive integrating both the building and operations within a distinctive cultural and physical setting that enhances the property's long term environmental, social, and economic sustainability. Guests and members at each property will participate in the unique life enhancement programs which will be educating and empowering them to increase their overall health, well being, vitality and longevity. Each location will be fully sustainable and carbon neutral from inception running on renewable energy, recycling wastewater as well as utilizing sustainable materials and products throughout the properties. We will be creating wellness pavilions, wellness retreats and senior wellness living properties which will, over time, become an ecosystem of health and wellness sanctuaries. -Established company as the first fully sustainable development company in North America with triple bottom line principles that guide each project from initial design,development to ongoing operations.-Assembled a world class team of professionals from the hospitality development and resort operations fields; Managed the design and development teams to create a new class of sustainable destinations.-Negotiated with several land owners to secure the needed land and gain access to required roadways for initial development as well as the regular property operations once each is open for business.-Raised more than $2 million of the start up equity for securing the initial property and completing initial permits, easements, designs & property master plans.

Advised Fortune 100 Executive Management Teams on optimizing their firm's capital structure, all aspects of the Global Capital Markets, M&A structured solutions, Rating Agency approach and process as well as the Global Investor mind set as they evaluated business opportunities and liquidity solutions. Additional responsibilities included:-Managed a growing debt capital markets business which generated $80MM of revenues in FY 2005, $90MM of revenues in FY2006 and $100MM in FY 2007 - all records for the US fixed income group.-Established a DCM team of 25 professionals focused on generating increased fee business with the client base that was competing with every Wall St. bank pursuing similar global financing deals.-Developed strong relationships and repeat business from the key clients of the bank executing debt and preferred transactions in 12 different currencies across the global capital markets platforms.-Helped to develop innovative products for clients including hybrid capital securities, contingentcapital notes, structured MTNs and converts which added more than $20MM to the FY 2006 revs.

Led a team of professionals that were responsible for assisting clients in optimizing their capital structure through originating, structuring, and executing capital market solutions for Financial Institutions throughout the U.S., Europe and Asia. Additional responsibilities included:-Established a proven US FIG fixed income team for bank with top priority clients generating over $75MM of revenues including multiple book runner mandates in all major currencies since 2001.-Responsible for leveraging the bank’s existing client relationships in the financial institutions sector for the origination of all investment grade fixed income products across the global capital markets.-Represented the bank’s broad array of products and services to enhance client commitment to the firm working closely with corporate banking, fixed income, derivatives marketing, asset-backed trading, asset-liability management and structured products teams in the US, Europe and Asia.-Provided market based, solution driven product expertise to US based FIG clients as well as alternative solutions utilizing available global fixed income structuring teams; Oversaw the bank’s US FIG debt capital markets team consisting of 10 professionals providing clients ongoing global market updates, debt distribution strategies, funding recommendations and global deal execution.-Developed a unique retail distribution platform for various fixed income products including inflation-linked notes, structured MTNS and hybrid capital notes through BNP Paribas private banking network.
