Daytime is Playtime is licensed with the State of NY as a Group Family Day Care located near Rochester, NY. My staff and I provide nurturing, loving care for children ages 6weeks to 12yrs, in a child directed, creative learning, safe, home-like environment. We offer a School Readiness Program. It is designed to empower you and your child with educational options to create the most fitting path for your child and to address each child's specific developmental needs following the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) guidelines. We offer specialized curriculum in our infant care, toddler care, early preschool, preschool, & pre-kindergarten needs. Learn more about our educational daycare, plus before- and after-school care, enrichment programs, summer camp, and flex care options. Your child must be registered and enrolled to be eligible to take advantage of additional programs. I created Daytime is Playtime to serve local and surrounding communities in need. As long as the need for childcare exists, I am happy to help guide and provide children and parents to resources that are available both county and statewide to the best of my ability. I began my parenting journey after my husband accepted a job offer that brought us a thousand miles away from our support system. It was just the two of us. I had five years working in customer service and project management, project coordination as well as business administration and accounting. Like many struggling parents, I was also in need of support, as well as a job. I struggled to find care for my children that also worked with my career hours working in the accounting division at a national title company. At the time. The waiting lists were long, and the hours were limited. I was at my wits end. There's a saying, if you can't beat them, join them. That ignited a fire with in me that said," Why not?" I did. I completed the groundwork to find out what I needed to accomplish to be eligible in New York State to become a childcare provider. I didn't stop there. Not only were there rigorous trainings and a multitude of certifications to complete, I also turned my home into a public facility to serve my community, as well as hired and trained staff. This has been an incredible and remarkably rewarding experience. I was in the process of opening a center when covid-19 hit. Since then I have been more active and available to serve my community.
