About Michael Laumanns

I am a hotelier through and through. I've spent my entire career in hospitality, starting from my early days as a management trainee in Berlin, Germany. Experiencing every aspect of hotel operations has offered me insight and understanding that guide me today.In my role as VP Global Corporate Clients & Strategy with Accor, my goal is to drive growth in the business travel segment for our 5,700+ hotel portfolio worldwide. My responsibilities include the development and execution of Accor’s global business travel sales strategy with a focus on advancing Accor’s top-line revenue and market-share position among its strategic B2B clients in all world markets. At the heart of my role is managing a group of talented strategic account directors. Together, we strive to provide exceptional support to our top B2B clients. Through collaboration, innovation and a highly consultative approach, we are building lasting partnerships with many of the world’s leading corporations. Each client has their own culture, and my goal is to be the best possible partner while drawing on my years of experience with B2B sales management, the corporate hotel contracting process and life-cycle. It's a global effort that involves promoting what Accor has to offer and finding mutually beneficial ways to further evolve these partnerships based on client needs. The goal is to bring together our hotels and the client's business objectives. My approach is grounded in the belief that client relationships are built on a foundation of mutual trust and support.
