* Used business analysis skills and knowledge of policies/regulations to help several departments streamline their internal business processes to be more in compliance federal guidelines and/or University policies* Developed, designed and delivered training classes on multiple topics related to research administration, business process improvement and data analytics for users.* Over the course of 2 years initiated and led study groups for the Certified Research Administrators Exam, resulting in 22 new CRAs at the UW* Worked on myriad of data mining and ad hoc reporting assignments used to determine the potential effects of new federal policies on existing university policies and processes. In one specific instance, using knowledge of Excel and federal policies designed a spreadsheet tool for calculating Faculty Effort Cost Sharing that became a required component of grant submission. This reduced departmental workloads related to FECS proposals by nearly 80% and reduced central administration workloads by 60%, all while increasing accuracy significantly.
